EABIS ANNUAL COLLOQUIUM 2009
– CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS –
- How is the role of business in society likely to change?
- To what extent can governance mechanisms foster Corporate Responsibility at Global, company and individual levels?
These are the questions which, among others, the EABIS 2009 Annual Colloquium will be debated on September 21-22 at IESE Business School, Barcelona.
Three days after the last EABIS Colloquium (Cranfield, Sept 2008), Lehman Brothers collapsed, unleashing a financial, economic and – increasingly – socio-political and governance crisis. The financial crisis especially has highlighted deep flaws in past approaches to the governance of the firm and of economic systems. This year’s Colloquium will therefore focus on: “The Role of Business in Society: Challenges and Issues for Global and Corporate Governance”.
EABIS and IESE invite contributions that present new research insights and ideas, business responses, and forward-looking thought leadership. We value multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary inputs from Strategic Management, Accounting, Finance, Corporate Governance, Public Affairs, Organisational Behaviour, HRM, Operations Management, Value Creation and Entrepreneurship, International Relations and Global Governance, Political Economy. For more information, please download the Call for Contributions and the guidelines for submission.
The deadline for submissions is close of business FRIDAY, MAY 29.
